In the fields of modern medicine, dental surgery, nursing, AYUSH, and paramedical sciences, University provides UG, PG, Diploma, Super-specialty, and Doctorate courses. It bears the name of Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, a former Andhra Pradesh chief minister, and was founded in 1986. Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences was renamed as "Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences" by the Andhra Pradesh government.

• After counselling, admission to the MBBS and BDS programs is determined by merit in the NEET exam.
• The sole criterion for admission to MPT and M.Sc. programs is a bachelor's degree of excellence.

Admissions 2024 for MBBS and BDS at University

University Medical and Dental Colleges provide MBBS and BDS programs. 15% of the total seats are set aside for the All India Quota, with the remaining 85% going to local candidates, according to the university. The candidate should have received a grade of 50% in PCBE, the primary subject. To get selection, candidates must have a valid NEET UG rank.

Admissions 2024 for UG at University

Several further UG programs in nursing, physical therapy, homoeopathy, and Ayurveda are available at University. The entrance exam is used to select qualified individuals. 

Selection Criteria for UG Courses

• B.Sc. Nursing/BPT: The results of a previous qualifying exam are used to determine selection.
• BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BNYS: Applicants must participate in the NTA-conducted NEET-UG, which is followed by counselling.
• Candidates should have passed General Nursing and Midwifery exams from the Nursing Council of India or the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Admissions 2024 for PG Deree

PG courses are available at Dr YSR University of Health Sciences in a variety of formats. Candidates for the MD program must have completed their MBBS or BDS program. A relevant degree and internship are prerequisites for admission to the MD, MS, and MDS programs. The NEET/AIAPGET score will be used to make the decision. 

Selection Criteria for PG Degree

• MD/MS (Medicine): Candidates may be selected through counselling after their NEET PG score or merit.
• MDS: Counselling is conducted after selection is made based on merit or score in the NEET MDS.
• MDA/MDH/MDU/MD (Ayush): Counselling is conducted once candidates are selected based on their AIAPGET score or merit.

YSRUHS provides master's degrees in physiotherapy and nursing with different specialisations. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with the necessary cumulative GPA in a related field. Admissions 2024 for Super-Speciality Degree

Steps to apply for Admissions at University

On selection, University Admissions registration is available online and offline. Applicants who select to apply offline can get in touch with the University Admission Cell. Applicants must take the actions listed below in order to submit an online application:

• Go to the official website.
• Select "New Registration" and fill out the form with your phone number and email address.
• Complete the application by providing the Entrance Examination Score and all pertinent information.
• Select the "Validate" option.
• The registration code and password will be sent to the candidates' registered mobile number and email address.
• It is advised that applicants write these down for future use.
• After entering your registration number and password to log in, fill out the remaining fields on the form, and click "validate."
• Upload the necessary documents, along with a recent passport-sized photo.
• Use a credit card, debit card, or net banking to pay the registration fees online. Send in the application.
