Admission to university is available through a number of national exams. To be considered for admission to the premier B.Tech program at university, candidates must first obtain a valid rank in JEE Advanced, then proceed with JoSAA counseling. Seats for the B.Tech programme are allocated online using JoSAA counselling, taking into account the applicant's rank, category, and other variables. 

Also, admission to PG programs like M.Tech and M.Sc. is provided by University. In order to be admitted into these well-liked programs, students must receive valid results from national admission tests, such as GATE and IIT JAM, and then advance through the PI round. In order to receive their final seat assignment, candidates who met the GATE requirements and were accepted into the university M.Tech program must take part in COAP counselling. In partnership with the Bombay Stock Exchange, University also provides 1-year PG Certificate in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. Every weekend, the program runs for 3 hours each session.

University offers Ph.D. degrees in a number of fields in addition to UG and PG programs. The institute's entrance exam and the PI round are the basis for shortlisting candidates for Ph.D. admission. Still, applicants to the Ph.D. program at university who have genuine results on the GATE, CEED, UGC, or CSIR exams are also considered.

Admissions 2024 for B.Tech Program

Indian Institute of Technology provides B.Tech programs in 8 disciplines, including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

Candidates must have completed 12th in the science stream with at least 75% marks.
SC/ST candidates must have got 65% in 12th. Alternatively, individuals in the top 20 percentile of their class 12th can apply for B.Tech admission.
Candidates must possess a valid JEE Advanced score.

Selection Criteria for B.Tech
IIT Indore conducts final selection through JoSAA Counselling based on JEE Advanced rank. Only enrolled candidates may participate in the JoSAA Counselling procedure. Candidates are assigned seats in seven rounds of JoSAA counselling. Seat allotment is determined by the course and college chosen during registration.

Admissions 2024 for BS Program

University offers a BS programme in Mathematics and Computing subject. This program is designed to cover a wide range of courses with the goal of providing students with a solid foundation in mathematics and computer science.

Eligibility Criteria:

• 12th with 75% aggregate marks.
• 12th with PCB/PCM from a recognized board.

Selection Criteria

Admission to 4-year (8 semester) B.S. (Mathematics and Computing) degree will be through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advance) administered by IITs.

Admissions 2024 for M.Tech Program

University provides 2-year M.Tech program in 15 specializations only based on GATE scores. To secure a seat at the institute, candidates must also register for COAP counselling. The following are the qualifying and selection criteria for university M.Tech program:

Eligibility Criteria:

•  B.E/B.Tech degree .
• graduation with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (SC/ST 55% grades).
• Valid GATE score.

Note: Candidates who have finished B.Tech from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher are excused from submitting GATE results.

Selection Criteria

Based on their GATE result, candidates will be considered for the M.Tech program. The institute will conduct a round of interviews. 30% of the ultimate merit list for admissions will be determined by the interview, with the remaining 70% based on the GATE results.

2024 Admission at University for M.Sc

There are 3 specializations in 2-year M.Sc. degree offered by University: physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Candidates must take the IIT JAM entrance exam in order to be admitted to the program.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's degree considered for admission.
• Candidates must have an aggregate score of at least 55%.

Note: The eligibility standards for SC/ST candidates are relaxed by 5%.

Selection Criteria

Candidates are selected through the IIT JAM counseling procedure, which includes 4 rounds of admission. Seats are given based on JAM entrance test scores, choice filling, seat availability, category, and other variables.

Indian Institute of Technology offers Ph.D. degrees in 3 departments: Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and admissions are based on GATE and NET entrance test scores, followed by an interview. Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree to be considered for admission.

Ph.D. eligibility criteria are as follows:

Ph.D. in Engineering:

Candidate need to fulfil the any one below given criteria:

• M. Tech/ME engineering degree with at least 60% marks
• UG degree in engineering with at least 75% marks
• UG degree from IIT in relevant stream with at least CPI of 7.0
• Degree of masters in science in relevant stream with at least 70% marks

Ph.D. in Science:

• For entrance to the scientific department, students have to fulfill one of the following criteria:
• M.Phil./Master's degree in Science with at least 60%
• Master's degree in engineering in a relevant field with 60%
• UG degree in engineering from IIT with at least 7.0 CPI.
• UG degree in engineering in the relevant field with 75%

Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences:

• M.Phil/master's degree in science, arts, or commerce in the relevant field with at least 55%
• Master's degree in engineering, design, or technology with at least 60% in the appropriate field
• UG degree from IIT in relevant stream, with at least 7.0 CPI.
• UG degree in engineering in the relevant field with 70%

The final admission to IIT Patna's Ph.D. program is dependent on GATE/NET entrance scores and an interview. International candidates will be evaluated for a written test/interview depending on their TOEFL results.
