Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is a leading academic and research institution that offers admission to various degrees through its 5 constituent colleges. University admissions are performed online in accordance with ACPC norms. Admission to courses at University is based on merit and test scores from national and state-level exams.

• University B.E. admission is based on JEE Main or GUJCET scores, which are then used in ACPC counselling.
• University take admissions to students to MBA programs based on their CMAT scores, followed by ACPC counselling.

Admissions 2024 to BE Program

University accepts UG students for B.E/B.Tech courses. The 4-year UG program is provided full-time. The basic requirement is that students completed 12th level with at least 50% marks. Students must get valid JEE Main or GUJCET scores to be admitted to B.E. programs. The annual price for the B.E. program at University is INR 40,000. There are no management or NRI quotas for admission to GTU B.E. programs. The course offers 4 specialisations under GPERI and GTU:

• The candidate must have passed 12th with 50% marks in PCB/PCM subjects
• Candidates from reserved categories are permitted 5% waiver in the eligibility requirements.

The selection criteria for university B.Tech course are provided below:

• The candidate must have valid score from the JEE Main or GUJCET exam.
• After passing the appropriate exam, the candidate must apply for Gujrat ACPC counselling.
• Students must select their course and branch preferences on the ACPC portal.

Admissions 2024 to ME Program

University provides 2-year M.E. or M.Tech program with 4 specialisations. Admission to 50% of M.E. seats is through the ACPC process, with the remaining 50% filled by university in the Graduate School of Engineering and Technology. The semester fees for university M.E. courses are INR 12,500. The M.E. specialisations of University are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:

• For M.E. Computer Engineering (Cyber Security), candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Technology OR CSE OR Information Technology Engineering OR Information and Communication Technology or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
• For M.E. Computer Engineering (Internet of Things), candidates must have completed a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering OR Information Technology/Information & Communication Technology OR Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication OR an equivalent qualification with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWSs candidates) in the qualifying examination.
• For M.E. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering OR Information Technology/Information & Communication Technology OR an equivalent qualification with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates) in the qualifying examination.
• For Engineering program, candidates must have completed their B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates) in the qualifying examination.

Selection Criteria:

 Merit in Gujarat PGCET/ GATE exam followed by ACPC counselling.

Admissions 2024 to MBA Program

University provides 2-year MBA with 2 specialisations: International Business (IB) and Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV). The university accepts 60 students in IB and 30 students in IEV specialisations. The GTU MBA semester tuition is INR 13,125. To apply for MBA admission, candidates must have completed their graduation with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS). The selection process would be based on CMAT scores and the seat assigned by ACPC Gujarat.

Selection Criteria:

• The university recognises the CMAT score when selecting an applicant.
• Applicants who satisfy the required cutoff must apply for ACPC counselling, which is conducted by the Gujarat government.
• For the MBA (Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development), candidates must attend personal interview for startup companies. 

Admissions 2024 to B.Pharm/ B.Sc./ BHMCT/ B.Arch/ B.Plan/ BBA/ B.Voc Program

B.Arch, BBA, B.Sc., BHMCT, B.Pharm, B.Voc, and B.Plan are among the UG programs offered by the university. To apply for any courses, you must have passed the Class 12th exams with at least 50% in aggregate. All of these programs admit students depending on their performance on the most recent qualifying exams.

Eligibility Criteria :

• For B.Pharm, the candidate must have completed 12th with at least 50% in Science.
• For B.Sc. (Hons.) with Research in Biotechnology, the candidate must have completed
• 12th with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and English.
  Candidates for BHMCT, BBA, B.Arch, and B.Voc must have completed 12th with an overall 50% scores.
• The applicant for B.Plan must have completed 12th with minimum 50% marks or have a diploma in Civil or Architecture Assistantship.

Selection Criteria:

University take admissions to students to B.Pharm, B.Sc., BHMCT, B.Arch, B.Plan, BBA, and B.Voc programs on the basis of merit. Admission is based on class XII results.

Admission 2024 to MCA/ M.Pharm/ M.Sc./ MTTM/

University has multiple PG programs in several specialisations. The courses last 2 years. GTU's PG courses require students to obtain bachelor's degree. Admission to university PG programs is based on both entrance examinations and merit. Admission to MTTM and MCA is based on merit in the preceding qualifying exam. For other degrees, such as M.Sc. and M.Pharm, students must appear in the admission examination and receive a qualified score.

Eligibility Criteria:

• For MCA must first complete Bachelor's degree with Mathematics, Business Mathematics, or Statistics as obligatory topics.
• For M.Pharm courses, students must have completed a B.Pharm with 55% marks.
• For M.Sc studies, students must have completed B.Sc course in the relevant topic with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• For MTTM, the candidate must have graduated

Selection Criteria:

• For MCA programs depending on their graduation merit.
• Students must get a valid GPAT/GSET score before proceeding with the ACPC counselling process for the M.Pharm course.
• For the M.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology, 50% (10 seats) are reserved for GAT-B qualified applicants, with the remaining 50% (10 seats) available based on graduation.
• Selection will be done based on the results of the before qualifying examination for the MTTM course. 

Admission 2024 to Ph.D./ M.Phil/ Pharm.D

University provides various Ph.D. courses. All courses are available in full-time, regular style. For GTU research programs, students must hold a Master's degree . Selection will be based on the NET qualifying score. Doctoral programs at University include M.Phil., Ph.D., and Pharm.D.

 Eligibility Criteria:

• Students obtaining  Ph.D. must have minimum 55% in a Master's degree
• Students must have completed a PG degree with 55% aggregate grades in the relevant subject for eligible to M.Phil.
• Pharm.D. candidates must have 12th.

Selection Criteria:

• For Ph.D. and M.Phil courses, candidates must take the UGC NET and achieve a valid score.
• The selection for a Pharm.D program is based on performance in the previous qualifying examination.

Admission 2024 to Diploma/Certificate

University provides various Diploma, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses. All of these courses are selected on a merit basis. To be eligible for PG Diploma courses, students must hold a Bachelor's degree. Some specialisations courses are shown in tabular format:

• University maintains an online application process for all courses.
• Students will be accepted to University Ahmedabad's member colleges.
• Admission will be based on the rank obtained in the GUJCET/JEE Main for B.E. courses, GATE/PGCET for M.E. courses, CMAT for MBA, GAT-B for M.Sc. Biotechnology, and GPAT for M.Pharm.
• Once the individual has obtained a valid score in the relevant admission exam, he or she must apply for ACPC counselling.
• Candidates must ensure that they meet the minimal eligibility requirements and the mandated cutoff for admission to university through ACPC.
• Participation in tests or counselling does not ensure admission to university.
• Admission is cancelled if the requisite documentation are not submitted by the due date.
