The university was established in 1955 and is located in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat. University provides an extensive variety of UG, PG, M.Phil., and Ph.D. courses in many specialisations. Admission 2024 to UG Program

The university provides various UG courses for 12th graduates in topics such as BA, B.Sc., B.Com, B.Voc, BBA, LLB, BCA, Integrated M.Sc., and others. UG courses are offered for 3 years, whereas integrated courses are available for 5 years.

Admission to these courses is based on the students' merit, i.e. their 12th marks. Whereas admission to BID is based on an entrance exams.

Admission 2024 to B.Ed. and M.Ed.

University provides B.Ed. courses in several specialisations for 2-year term to students. The University also provides M.Ed. programs to B.Ed. certified students in the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. This university also offers special B.Ed. and M.Ed. Mental Retardation courses.

Selection is based on the merit of the qualification. The basic requirement for B.Ed. is that the candidate have completed Bachelor's or PG degree with at least 50% .

Admission 2024 to PG Program

University offers MA, M.Sc., M.Com, B.L.I.Sc., M.L.I.Sc., MCA, and MSW programs for PG admission in 2024.

The minimum requirement for PG programs and PG Diplomas is that the candidate have Bachelor's degree. Selection to the courses is based on performance in the qualifying exams.

Admission 2024 to M.Phil & Ph.D. 

The university also provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs for advanced studies and research in various fields of study. 318 spots are available for the Ph.D. course. Admission to both programs is based on an admission test.

Candidates with UGC-CSIR, UGC NET, SLET, DBT, ICMR, GA, or JRF qualifications are exempt from the Entrance Test and must fill out a separate application form.

• Next, submit the application and pay the INR 100 application fees online using a debit/credit card or net banking.
• To obtain a payment receipt for application fees, click Online Receipt.
