Admission 2024 to Ph.D. & MS by Research Program
University provides Integrated Ph.D. and Ph.D. programs across multiple fields. The Chemistry and Physics Material Unit (CPMU), New Chemistry Unit (NCU), Evolutionary and Organismal Biology Unit (EOBU), and Molecular Biological and Genetics Unit (MBGU) all provide integrated Ph.D. programs.
Integrated Ph.D. admission is based on a valid score in the JAM or JNCASR written test, followed by an interview for shortlisted students. Admission to the Ph.D. program is provided based on valid score in GATE, CSIR-UGC (JRF), JEST, INSPIRE, or any other equivalent national level examination. University interviews shortlisted students.
It also provides an MS (by Research) degree in 2 separate concentrations for a year. The application procedure begins in February, and the selection process is based on merit in GATE, JEST, UGC, CSIR-NET-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, or INSPIRE-JRF. It invites all eligible candidates for the interview round.
MS (Research) students will receive an INR 25,000 stipend. A student stipend of up to INR 40,000 is granted to fund travel expenses to national and international conferences.
