The Lady Amritbai  College for Women of Arts, Commerce & Science, and Smt. Ratnidevi Purohit College of Home Science and Home Science Technology is a distinguished women's college in Central India with a history spanning 82 years. Established in 1932, its founding marked a significant venture into women's education. With initial support from the trustees of Sir Dorabji Tata and financial aid from Governor Sir Hyde C. Gowan, the college continued to receive philanthropic contributions, including support from the Nizam of Hyderabad and a generous endowment from Mr. Bhulabhai Desai. Renamed in 1952 to honor a significant donation by Seth Badridas Daga, the college is now situated on a spacious 26-acre campus at Seminary Hills, which was inaugurated by Sir Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan in 1942. Over the years, the institution has been patronized by notable personalities, and today, it stands as a beacon of women's progress in education, social, and cultural spheres.
