Bodoland University, founded in 2009, is a prestigious university located in Debargaon, the heart of Kokrajhar, Assam. The Bodoland University Act 2009, which was passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly, founded the university.At present Bodoland University is an uprading of Kokrajhar-The Odalkl Industrial Centre, Assam branch of Gauhati University to a full fledged state university as per the provision of Act. The university laid down the basic eligibility standards to apply for admission to all PG, M.Phil, PhD, and Diploma courses. This selection for these courses will be done based on the result of an admission test conducted by the university.

In MBA admission some important stages are — Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview(PI or PI round) and that the scores obtained.As per entrance test candidates have to go GD and PI rounds.

• Bodoland University's library, also known as the Padma shri Madaram Brahma central library, houses a large collection of books, journals, periodicals, magazines, and CD/DVDs for students and staff. The library has installed the SOUL 2.0 library management system software, which includes a barcode-based circulation system. The library also offers a digital collection of e-journals and internet access.
• Bodoland University's Medical Department opened in 2013, with two professional nurses and one pharmacist. The medical team now includes one medical officer and one ward boy, who provide treatment and medical support to Bodoland University students and staff.
