Assam Women's University Overview

Assam Women's University (AWU), a public women's university founded in 2013, offers qualified applicants' courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and diploma levels. Established in 2013 by the Assam Women's University Act, the institute holds the distinction of being the first women's college in Assam to receive UGC recognition. The three-year BA and BPT programs are among the several UG courses that are offered. The college provides an MA with eight specializations, an MLIS degree, an MCA, an MBA, an MTTM, and an M.Sc. in Fashion Design and Technology as postgraduate programs. 

All undergraduate and graduate programs are admitted based on the results of an admission exam that the university administers. A group discussion and an individual interview are required for admission to the MBA and MA programs, in addition to the written exam. In addition, the university offers diploma programs in jewelry design, fashion integration apparel, and computer applications. Finally, the institute offers a wide range of amenities to promote the wellbeing of its students.
