Anna University (AU) Coimbatore is a public university located on the outskirts of Coimbatore city, established on September 4, 1978, and recognized by UGC as "University with Potential for Excellence (UPE)". The University provides many UG, PG, and Research Programs for PhD students' courses in various disciplines of Engineering & Technology relevant to the current and projected needs of society.

Eligibility requirements include a bachelor's degree with 50% grades (45% for SC/ST). Admission is granted only to TANCET qualifying individuals, followed by university-based counseling (TANCA).

Anna University Coimbatore MBA Programme:

The Anna University Coimbatore MBA course structure is meant to provide information in areas of expertise, including as marketing, human resources, finance, systems, and production, over a two-year period or four semesters. PhD courses are provided in both full-time and part-time formats.

• An applicant must have a bachelor's degree of at least three years duration. Furthermore, graduation requires a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% in the reserved category).
• A student's study pattern must be 10+2+3 years, or 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years.
• Alternatively, a candidate must have obtained B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch., or B.Pharm.
• If a candidate has a study pattern of 10+2+AMIE or 1-+3 years diploma + AMIE, they are also qualified for TANCET 2019.
