I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Mohali, formerly known as Punjab Technical University (PTU), was founded to improve technical, managerial, and pharmaceutical education in the state at the degree level and beyond. The university currently has 121 AICTE and 65 UGC colleges associated with it, with lakhs of students, including 1500+ overseas students from 30+ countries. IKGPTU has nine campuses located throughout Punjab, including Jalandhar, Mohali, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Batala, Bhikhiwind, Sultanpur Campus, Dinanagar, and Sultanpur.

Admissions

For consideration in the admission process, candidates must submit an online application through the official website. The merit list will be generated based on the marks obtained by candidates in the Entrance Examination. The provisional and final merit lists will be available on the organization's official website. Applicants will be called for counseling based on their merit. 

• Seat allocation will be fully based on the merit list and available seats.
• After seat allocation, candidates must report to the college for document verification and payment of academic fees.
• Admission to all courses is based solely on the results of entrance exams, which are administered either through the Centralized
• Counselling Procedure or at the institute level.

Application Procedure

• Visit Punjab Technical University's official website.
• Register as a new user and log in with your email address and password.
• After that, candidates must confirm the application form at the facilitation center.
• The provisional and final merit lists will be available on the organization's official website.
• In the event of a discrepancy, candidates may file a grievance at the facilitation center while the provisional list is shown.
• Candidates must log in to fill up and complete an online option form with their preferred colleges and courses.
• CAP is held in three rounds, and once a college is assigned, candidates must report to the given institute to confirm their admission.
