In July 2005, Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) was founded in Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya. The University Grant Commission (UGC) approved the university's establishment. According to Outlook 2023, the university was placed 48th out of the top 50 private universities in the nation. The MLCU employment Cell seeks to keep connections with the Corporate Industry alive while providing students with high-caliber employment possibilities. The Placement Cell is in charge of setting up placement visits to the campus and keeping in touch with the industries relevant to the faculty's areas of expertise. The pay is INR 3 LPA on average. 

Scholarships at MLCU

The MLCU Scholarship Fund is a scholarship fund established by MLCU. MLCUSF's mission is to offer financial aid to MLCU students according to their merit.

Every year, MLCU gives scholarships to its students based on predetermined standards.

1. It is necessary for a student to be enrolled full-time in a degree or diploma program.
2. The course should have been completed by the student for at least one year or semester.
3. The scholarship candidate must to have a strong track record of attendance and academic advancement. 

Facilities at MCLU

1. Libraries at MLCU: The university contains departmental and central libraries. The departmental libraries, which have more specialized and focused holdings, are housed in the departments' respective buildings and are open to all MLCU students and staff, while the main library is housed in the main campus and is open to all of them.
2. It offers about 2000 journal full text searches. Although most access to JSTOR is through subscription, certain older public domain literature is freely accessible to everybody as of 2013. As of 2013, more than 8000 organizations in more than 160 countries had access to JSTOR. Over 900 publishers offer content for JSTOR. More than 1900 journal titles are included in the database.
3. Anti-Ragging Policy: The University has put into effect the rules issued by the University Grants Commission on reducing the menace of ragging in Higher Educational Institutions with the aim of outlawing, preventing, and completely eliminating the practice. They carried out this policy in accordance with the directives of the Indian Supreme Court.
4. Hostel: On campus, the Institute offers dorms for both boys and females. The hostel has all the services and facilities needed to maintain good health. There is drinking water available on every floor of the hostel and power available around-the-clock. Additionally, it offers all students a meal three times a day along with nighttime snacks. All students have access to both indoor and outdoor sporting facilities at the hostel.
