Tata Institute of Social Sciences - School of Vocational Education (TISS-SVE), Dehradun, was founded in 2019 and is a prestigious school intended to foster a "National Vocational University" under the auspices of the AICTE, as suggested by the Indian government's Ministry of HRD. Courses in TISS

The institution provides two distinct three-year B.Voc courses in hotel management and hospitality management.

B.Voc in Hotel Administration
The course consists of three internal stages, with certification awarded to students at the end of each year. At the conclusion of the first year, students receive a Diploma Certificate in Hotel Management; at the end of the second and third years, they receive an Advance Diploma in Hotel Management and a Degree in Hotel Management, respectively. Each of the three phases has distinct eligibility requirements, which are listed below:

1. A certificate of 10+2 pass or equivalent from an accredited board is required for admission at the diploma level.
2. To get admission to the Advanced Diploma level, a candidate must present a diploma in hotel management from an accredited school.
3. To be admitted to the TISS-SVE institute's hotel management degree program, an applicant must hold an advanced diploma from an accredited institution.

B. Voc in Hotel Administration
Admission to the B.Voc in Hospitality Management program is available to candidates who have completed their 10+2 diploma or its equivalent from an accredited board.

TISS Placements:

Through its Placement Cell, the institution provides all of its students with complete support in finding employment following their completion of B.Voc programs. The cell also offers training programs for students interested in careers in the corporate sector. Under the Concept of Work Integrated Training Program (WITP), trainees can improve their skills and obtain practical industry experience as part of their graduation program. The experience is valuable to the trainees because the program is designed with the workplace in mind, allowing them to learn by doing and seeing. Here, while completing the course, participating students are assigned for on-the-job training at a reputable hotel.
