SKNAU,
also known as Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, was established in September 2013
under the Rajasthan government. It stands as the second-largest agriculture
university in the state, covering a significant portion of the geographical
area, spanning across 8 districts.
Offering a
range of programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, SKNAU
provides specialized education in agriculture. At the undergraduate level, it

B.Sc.
Admission: Sri Karan
Narendra Agriculture University offers a comprehensive undergraduate program
leading to a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Agriculture. This program spans four
years, divided into eight semesters. The eligibility criteria for admission
include the successful completion of the Senior Secondary Examination from a
recognized board. As part of the admission process, candidates are required to
appear for the Joint Entrance Test (JET). Upon selection, students are expected
to pay a tuition fee of INR 1440 per semester.
Eligibility
Criteria: Prospective candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination or
its equivalent from a recognized board, with subjects related to science or
agriculture. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the
time of admission. It is mandatory to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks
in the higher secondary boards, with a relaxation of 5% for candidates
belonging to reserved categories.
M.Sc.
Admission: SKNAU
also offers postgraduate programs, including Master of Science (M.Sc.) in
Agriculture. This program has a duration of two years and is available in
various specializations. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc. program must
have completed a relevant undergraduate degree, such as B.Sc. (Hons)
Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, or B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry. Admission to
the M.Sc. program is based on the Pre-PG Agriculture examination, and selected
candidates are required to pay a tuition fee of INR 2400 per semester.
Eligibility
Criteria: To be eligible for the M.Sc. program, candidates must have obtained a
minimum of 55% marks or equivalent OGPA from ICAR accredited universities. A
relaxation of 5% is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS
categories. Candidates awaiting results are also eligible to apply, but their
results must be available at the time of admission.
Ph.D.
Admission: For
candidates interested in pursuing doctoral studies, SKNAU offers a Ph.D.
program in Agriculture. The duration of the Ph.D. program is three years. To be
eligible for admission, candidates must have completed both undergraduate and
postgraduate degrees from recognized universities. The program offers
specializations in various fields of agriculture, and candidates are selected
based on their merit in undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The tuition fee
for the Ph.D. program is INR 4000 per semester.
