Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth is a private coeducational university that was founded in 1968. The Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth offers two UG programmes in agriculture: B. Tech and B. SC with honours. MPKV Pune provides an M.Sc., MTech, and MBA in agriculture at the PG level. 

MPKV Pune offers a PhD programme with a specialization in two agricultural disciplines. Important specialisations in the field and stream of agriculture are offered by the universities.
