University Admission 2024

Admissions to the University for MD, MS, DM, and M.Ch. programmes are held twice a year in two sessions: one in January and one in July. With its spacious campus and infrastructure, PGIMER Chandigarh offers its students all the amenities they need for extracurricular and basic learning. Students at PGIMER Chandigarh have access to the following facilities:

Library:  The Dr. Tulsi Das Library at PGIMER was established in 1962. There are 45,696 volumes, 57,610 bound journals, 96 national journals, and 414 international journals in it. At the moment, 4,851 theses  from various subjects are kept in the collection. Online databases that the library subscribes to include Science Direct, MD consult, Wiley-Blackwell, Oxford Journals, and 494 online full-text journals. 

Hostel:  Students who are accepted can also stay in hostels provided by Hostel PGIMER Chandigarh.
On its campus, the institute provides partially furnished dorm rooms accommodations.Accommodations are not provided by PGIMER to sponsored, deputed, or foreign national candidates. Applicants must provide 5,000 Indian rupees as a refundable security deposit.
In addition to mess/canteen facilities, PGIMER Hostels are furnished with all the necessities.

GYM:  In addition to academic fitness, PGIMER promotes physical fitness. For instructors and trainees, the institute offers both indoor and outdoor games. Sports enthusiasts can participate in competitions held on campus.

Swimming Pool:  For PGI workers and their families, PGIMER offers a Water-Sports Complex.
It features eight lanes of swimming pools with a well-decked area that accommodates a cafeteria and a health club.
