Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur
The Punjabi government founded Beant College of Engineering & Technology (BCET), Gurdaspur, in 1995 as an independent institution through a registered society. The Department of Technical Education, Government of Punjab, provided the college registration and affiliation with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. It has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The college's goal is to produce technically qualified professionals who can achieve both domestic and global goals. The college's goal is to establish a work environment that promotes creativity and hard effort for the purpose of wholesome education and knowledge advancement. The college is about 4 kilometers from the bus stop in Gurdaspur.
The engineering programs offered by the college include biotechnology, chemical engineering, computer science and engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology, and mechanical engineering. At the postgraduate level, students can select from Thermal engineering, Production engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and chemical engineering.

Extracurricular Activities at University
NSS: The college has six NSS units, each of which can accommodate 100 students. Throughout the year, it arranges several kinds of activities such as blood donation camps, cleaning camps, tree planting programs, etc.
NCC: The institution has a unit called 01 NCC, which wants to promote in its students values like as bravery, leadership, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. Throughout the year, it arranges a number of events, including sports instruction, youth exchange programs, trekking, and drill training.

Library: The college library is situated in a 2800 square meter space and features a 60-student reading room with air conditioning. Its library consists of 10259 book titles and over 28253 volumes. It has 81 national and 54 international journal subscriptions. In addition, it has 13 newspaper and 19 magazine subscriptions.
Computer Centre: Using 12 Mbps leased line connectivity, the computer center's 432 nodes link all of the departments and hostels.
Hostel: available separately for boys and girls. The institution includes one hostel for girls and four for boys, accommodating 200 female and 877 male students respectively.
Students Clubs: In University Fine Arts Club, Music Club, Dramatic Club are available.
