BIT G. P. Birla Scholarship Scheme: The purpose of the BIT GP Birla Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial assistance to deserving students as well as recognition. There will be INR 2.10 Cr in total scholarships offered annually. If more students meet the eligibility requirements listed below than can be funded with the INR 2.10 Cr total, the eligibility requirements will be changed to reflect this. The several categories of the BIT GP Birla Scholarship Scheme are listed below:

BIT GP Birla Scholarship: Meritorious students will be given the BIT GP Birla Scholarship based only on their performance in MO 2022, without considering their family's income.

Based on JEE Mains rank, those who have achieved the required All India Ranks in JEE (Main) are eligible to apply for the BIT GP Birla Scholarship for BTech and BArch.
BIT GP Birla Scholarship for MTech based on GATE percentile: Candidates who have obtained at least 90 percentile in the GATE in their first semester are eligible for this scholarship.

BIT GP Birla Scholarship for MTech based on GATE percentile: Candidates who have obtained at least 90 percentile in the GATE in their first semester are eligible for this scholarship.

The BIT GP Birla Scholarship for B.Tech. under Immersive Summer Research Experience (ISRE) at Reputable in other countries Universities will be awarded to BTech program participants who are selected to take part in the ISRE at reputable in other countries universities. This will pay for the portion of the cost that BIT Mesra must incur.

BIT GP Assistantship in Birla BIT GP Birla Assistantship: Students who demonstrate financial need and merit will be awarded this scholarship based on their combined merit and means. This group will take into account family income and MO 2022 academic performance. 

BIT GP Birla Assistantship on Compassionate Grounds: A very small number of students are awarded this assistantship on the basis of compassion. For this group, a minimum standard of academic achievement is considered for this category

BIT GP Birla Assistantship for Staff Wards: This scholarship is awarded to staff members engaged in any of BIT Mesra's programs, including its off-campus offerings.

Scholarships provided for merit based on JEE Main Rank: Based on their JEE Mains rank, first-semester students accepted into BIT Mesra BTech programs are eligible for this scholarship. All rank, general, and SC/ST applicants are eligible for a 100% tuition fee waiver up to 1000 times.

Scheme for Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: Under this scholarship program, tuition costs and hostel rent are for eligible students depending on their performance in the previous semester and their parents' combined annual income. Applicants will receive a 100% waiver of their tuition and hostel rent if their CGPA is higher than 9.5. 

The unexpected death of a family member who makes money: Under this scholarship program, the institution will pay 100% of a student's tuition for the current semester in the case that a family member dies unexpectedly. In later semesters, a scholarship of up to 75% may be given out, depending on the student's need, overall achievement, and financial situation.
