DIT University, Dehradun

The Dehradun Institute of Technology was founded by the Unison group in 1998 and authorized by Act No. 10 of the Uttarakhand government. It is a private organization that collaborates with CII, FICCI, and ASSOCHAM India. The Nepal Engineering Council and the UGC, New Delhi, both recognize degrees from DIT University. A part of the Association of Indian Universities is DIT University. The B.Pharm program has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, while the BArch program has received approval from the Council of Architecture.

Cutoff for DIT University

Admission to DIT University is determined by the applicant's entrance exam results, graduation, and 10+12 merit scores. While CAT/SAT/XAT/UKSEE/DUET scores are considered into for MBA programs, JEE ranks are accepted for B.Tech programs. The institution administers the DUET admission exam in addition to accepting the GATE for postgraduate programs and using it to create a shortlist of candidates for MPharm, MTech, and PhD programs.

Admission 2024 to University

Merit-based admissions and entrance exams will be used in 2024 to select students for approximately 70 UG, graduate, and doctorate programs at DIT University. The institution accepts national entrance exams such as JEE Main, UKSEE, MAT, XAT, CAT, etc. for admission to specific degrees. The school also conducts the DUET, its admission exam, to select candidates for MPharm, MTech, and PhD programs. In order to be admitted, students must register online for individual interviews, group discussions, and counseling sessions related to their selected courses.

• Pay the registration fees and register using a phone number and email address.
• Add your qualifying marks to the DIT University Registration Form.
• Click the "Counselling Form" option to upload grade marksheets for grades 10 and 12 for UG programs, or for grades 10 through 12 and graduation for graduate programs.
• Upload your residency certificate.
• If the PG final year mark sheet is still pending, kindly submit the grades from the previous year or semester.
  
• Select the program option of your choice, and your seat will be assigned based on the timetable.
• After counseling is successful, payment of the admission fee is required to reserve the seat.

Every year, Placement Utsav is arranged by the Career Services Department (CSD) of  University.CSD organizes industrial visits, webinars, workshops, internships, and on-campus placements by collaborating with leading companies. During the 2023 university placements, over 350 recruiters offered 1,350 job offers to students enrolled in BTech, MTech, MBA, and other programs. In 2023, some 350 university recruiters participated in the hiring process. Campus placement offered the highest CTC in 2023, at INR 58 LPA.  Hostels:   The campus hostel provides clean rooms, modern apartments with American-style furnishings and services. In addition, the university offers separate dorms for boys and girls in addition to Wi-Fi.

Scholarship at University

For students that succeed academically, DIT University offers multiple scholarships. The students' merit is the determining factor for the scholarships. The following is a list of the scholarships:

Merit-Based Scholarships: Throughout the program, scholarships are awarded based only on merit. 10%, 20%, and 30% of the tuition is covered by scholarships for students.
Scholarships for Uttarakhand and Other Himalayan States: Permanent residents of Uttarakhand and Other Himalayan States are eligible for a 26% tuition fee scholarship, with 40% of all UG and PG seats reserved for them. Students must have a valid Original Domicile Certificate at the time of counseling or admission in order to be eligible for the scholarship.

Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for Female Students: If a female student has achieved 80% or higher in the 1th and 12th Standard, she is eligible for a 10% scholarship on her tuition fee for the 1st year of her undergraduate degree. A CGPA of 8.5 must be maintained annually to continue.
Scholarship for Son/Daughter of Defense Personnel: Defense personnel's wards are eligible for a 5% tuition price scholarship. Only students with a valid certificate will be deemed qualified.

Scholarship Based on Sports Performance: During the first year of the program, the scholarship will be given out in accordance with the Sports Quota Scholarship Policy.
Support With Money For Sibling(s): For siblings of current students or alumni, there is a 5% scholarship available for the 1st year's tuition.
Scholarship for Single Mothers' Wards: 5% of tuition fees are awarded to single mother's wards whose income is less than 5 labor productivity points.
Scholarship for Students with Disabilities: Students with disabilities are eligible for a 5% tuition fee scholarship. The government or hospital's handicap certificate must be submitted by qualified students. In order to keep the scholarship, the student must consistently maintain a CGPA of 7.0.
