Andhra University, Visakhapatnam

Andhra University is one of the oldest educational institutions in the country. It is also the first to be designed as a teaching, residential, and affiliated university. 313 courses in the fields of arts, commerce, management, science and technology, engineering, law, pharmacy, and education are currently offered by the university. The University consists of 4 AU Campuses and 5 constituent institutions. According to the NIRF 2023 ranking, the university is now rated 43rd in the University category. The NAAC has awarded Andhra University  "A" accreditation. Additionally, the University's School of Distance Education provides PG, professional, and certificate programs.

The University Campus is unwavering in its pursuit of maintaining the highest standards in research and teaching, ensuring that students are properly developing their character, supporting community development initiatives, and cultivating leadership in young men and women. There are 4 campuses of the university. There are 5 departments on university campus in Kakinada (East Godavari District) and eleven departments on the university campus in Etcherla (Srikakulam District). There are 4 departments on the university campus in Tadepalli Gudem and five departments on the universiy campus in Vizianagaram. 

University occupies a vast 422-acre campus that is peppered with 121 buildings housing staff quarters and academic, administrative, and support services. The buildings have a total plinth area of over 20 lakh square feet. Currently, the university serves the educational needs of Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Vizinagaram, and Srikakulam, five green districts in Andhra Pradesh. Hostel:

On the campus of University, there are hostels specifically designated for girls and boys. The hostel rooms are large and furnished with amenities including 24-hour water filtration, WiFi, and roomy bathrooms.

Scholarships for merit in social welfare and tribal welfare

The Pradesh government has awarded merit-based social welfare and tribal welfare scholarships to the qualified students. PG GATE qualifying candidates receive grants from AICTE and UGC.

BTH Merit Scholarships

Students can further reduce their current tuition fees for the fee movers for the BTH by applying for the BTH Scholarship (Tuition Fee Waiver) program. The BTH scholarship will be awarded to the best overseas students based only on their academic merit. Scholarships from BTH are contingent upon availability.
