Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) was founded in 1954, In Tirupati. By NIRF 2023, the university is placed 60th in the university category. It has a "A+" grade and is accredited by the NAAC. The engineering and technology, arts, science, and commerce departments at the university offer UG, graduate, and doctorate programs. Only those who pass the entrance or qualifying exam are eligible for admission.

 It provides B.tech, B.Pharm, and B.Ed courses at the UG level and M.tech, MA, M.Sc., MBA, and Integrated M.tech courses at the PG level. Online applications are accepted for this course. For technical studies in 2020, the University Placement recorded the highest pay of INR 6 LPA. Companies such as Cognisant, Dell, IBM, and Wipro, among others, visited the university campus to place more than 60% of the students.

Admission 2024 at University

The admissions process for all PG courses and research programs is managed by the Directorate of Admissions (DOA). For admission to the MA, M.Com, M.Sc., and MS programs offered by the university and its affiliated colleges, University administers the SVUCET exam.

Candidates wishing to be admitted into the B.Tech program must pass the DOA-conducted RECET examination, also known as the EAMCET entrance exam. Every step of the application procedure is done online.

Wi-Fi Campus:  Students can get fast internet service throughout the entire university campus thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity and a fast web association.

Central Library:   The library has a large selection of literature for every university branch. The university's main library is filled with about 6000 books, magazines, newspapers, past exam questions, general knowledge books, and current affairs books.

Scholarships for University

University offers the following scholarships to both UG and graduate students:

Welfare scholarships:   Based on merit and cumulative income, this program offers state social welfare scholarships to students in the ERP and BC categories. The Indian government offers scholarships for ST and SC individuals, as well as wards of ex-servicemen.
Merit scholarships:   State merit scholarships, National Merit scholarships, Special State merit scholarships, and National Science Talent Search scheme awards are under the category of merit scholarships.
