Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University was established in 2005 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is a state university located at Tirupati, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and focuses on veterinary studies. University offers various UG programs like B.Sc, B.V.Sc and B.Tech and PG programs such as M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and M.V.Sc along with Ph. D programs in different branches of Veterinary, Dairy and Fishery Sciences, to promote farmer oriented and need based research to develop harvest and post harvest technologies.

All bachelor's degree selection will be based on the results of the Andhra Pradesh entrance exam, known as the EAMCET. The grades from the B.F.Sc./B.Tech(Dairy) exam, will be 30% of the overall weight, and the results of the PG Entrance exam, will be 70% of the total weight, will determine admission to the M.F.Sc. and M.Tech programs.

The selection process for doctorates will be based on a 50:20:10:20 ratio involving the marks from the admission exam, master's degree, bachelor's degree, and interview.

Admissions at University

Admission to B.Tech, B.Sc. (Hons.), B.V.Sc., and B.Tech. programs is determined by the results of the AP-EAMCET, a state-level admission exam.

The university administers a thorough entrance exam, which is followed by a round of counseling, in order to determine eligibility for PG study.
Applicants requirements for the Ph.D. program is entrance exam administered by the university. The final merit list will be created by considered the candidates' scores from both the entrance exam and previous qualifying exam.

• Download the program by visiting the official website.
• Complete the application form completely and accurately. Attach self-attested copies and the counterfoil containing the UTR number and transaction ID for the registration fee payment.
• The fees of registration for students in the general category is INR 1,100. The registration fee for candidates who are SC, ST, or PH is INR 550. Only online payments, ideally made through Andhra Bank or another nationalized bank, are accepted for this fee. Details about the A/C are listed below-

Placements through University

Through its Placement Cell, University guarantees that students are assigned to appropriate companies and roles. University 2019 session came to an end with a record-breaking 70%. Companies such as Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. visit the University campus.

Scholarships for University

• Together with covering tuition and special fees for all eligible students, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and minority groups, the State Government also offered scholarships for $1200 to SC and ST students and 962/-per month to BC students.
• During the year, 403 students received scholarships totaling 38.7 lakhs.
  42 students from other states who were admitted under the VCI/ICAR all-India quota were granted the National Talent Scholarship, which is awarded at a monthly rate of 1000/-by ICAR, New Delhi. The total amount sanctioned was 4.20 lakhs.

Facilities at University

Hostel:

Boys' and girls' hostels are located separately on campus. Every hostel has a distinct canteen area of its own. Modern kitchens with steam cooking facilities and eating tables, seats, utensils, etc., for the mess were added to the hostels' amenities. The rooms had tables, chairs, and ceiling fans. The parents, friends, and visiting teachers were accommodated.

Auditorium:

Large University auditorium is available for rent for conferences, events, convocations, and other special occasions.

Computer center and placement cell:

Every institution has a computer center where staff and students can use the internet and other services. There are 26 PCs with internet access provided at CVSc, Tirupati.

Library:

Approximately 25,000 books, 70 National Journals, 54 International Journals, 138 Periodicals and Monthly Journals, 9,074 back volumes, 1851 Theses, of which 610 have been digitalized, and 238 video lectures are all available in the libraries of the university's constituent colleges.
