University Assignments

IGNOU uses a multi-tiered evaluation system that includes self-assessment activities for each unit of study, ongoing tutor-marked assignments, practical assignments in addition to multiple seminars, workshops, and extended contact programs, term-end exams, project work, etc. Students' participation in a variety of educational activities will determine how they are evaluated.  These tasks are completed previous to term exams.

IGNOU course assignments are a crucial component of the semester-based course structure and are worth 30% of the final grade. Assignments for IGNOU must be turned in online or at a study centre by the last day of class. Students are not permitted to attend the final exams if they do not turn in their homework. To be eligible for the term-end exams, students must pass the assignments with at least 40% scores.

University Exam Form

Students must duly fill the IGNOU test form relating to their individual courses. All outstanding assignments must be sent in by students to the designated IGNOU Study Centres previous to the forms being filled out. Specific information on IGNOU Assignments can be found on the official IGNOU website. The University will not post the hall pass if the applicant does not meet the requirements for a particular course or does not turn in the assignment by the due date. Therefore, candidates should not wait until the last day to turn in their tasks. In addition to filling out the IGNOU exam form, candidates must pay the exam fee for both the theory and practical exams. The IGNOU exam fee, which is INR 200 per course, can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or netbanking account. After paying the price, students must wait for the acknowledgement status. In case of delay in acknowledgment, candidates are recommended to wait for 72 hours to acquire the current status.
