Located in New Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is a central university. The university was founded in 1920 and has received "A" accreditation from the NAAC in addition to recognition from the UGC. According to NIRF 2024, university is ranked 3rd among the best universities in India and 25th in the management category. The Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution, the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, and the Centre for Management Studies are just some JMI's research centres.

It has over 200 UG, graduate, and research programs. Many academic fields, including engineering, the humanities, law, administration, education, and science, are represented among those offering the courses. It offers many well-liked courses, including BTech, BA, B.Sc., MA, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc., and PhD. Admission to university is determined by the university's admission exam. In addition, university accepts national entrance exams for admission to its B.Tech, B.Arch, BA/B.Sc/B.Voc, and BDS programs, respectively: JEE Main, NATA, CUET, and NEET.

 Through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), it also provides distance learning programs leading to degrees and diplomas for military personnel. It offers its students excellent placement options. Around 350 students were placed during the 2023 university placement. For B.Tech and MBA students, the highest package available ranged from INR 20 LPA to INR 25 LPA. Top employers include Accenture, KPMG, ICICI Bank, CDOT, EXL, and so on.

Admissions 2024 at University

Every year, admission to university typically opens in April. For every course, the admissions procedure is conducted entirely online. Applicants must register on the university's official website. The majority of UG, PG, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Ph.D. programs have entrance exams that determine admission. The institution accepts national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, NATA, and NEET, respectively, for admission to its B.Tech, B.Arch, and BDS programs. Based on CUET results, Jamia Millia Islamia will admit students to select BA (Hons), B.Sc. (Hons), and B.Voc specialisations.

Application Procedure at University

Applicants can apply for any course at university by following the instructions listed below:

• Go to the JMI Admission Portal, to register online.
• In order to register for the appropriate program, click "Admissions."
• Creat login ID and fill it with your name, contact details, and academic credentials, among other things.
• Press the "Submit" button. the upload of the signature and photo
• The system will send an email including the Unique CODE, a link to validate the email account, and login information (email ID) and password to access the account as soon as the registration or admission form is successfully submitted.
• Following link verification, the candidate can access the portal and apply for the program(s) of their choice by logging in with their login ID and password.
• The application fee for B.Tech and B.Arch is INR 500. The application money can be paid through debit/credit cards, net banking, online wallets, etc.
• Fill out the application and print a copy of it for your records.
• On the JMI website, candidates can monitor the status of their application.

Results of University

Through its main website, Jamia Millia Islamia announces the results of entrance exams and semester exams. By inputting the roll number that is printed on the admission card, students can view their results. Semester exam results are typically released in the months of December and May. Within 15 days following the announcement of the results, students may request a reassessment of their answer sheets if they are unhappy with their semester exam grades. • In the main menu, click on the ‘Examination’ section.
• In the menu that appears, click on the ‘Results’ section.
• After clicking on ‘Results’, you will be redirected to the listing page.
• Now click on your desired course link.

The first stage of Jamia Milia Islamia's 2023 placement drive is now complete. 45 recruiters have placed over 350 students thus far. Scholarships for Students

Students at university have access to various scholarships that enable them to achieve their academic objectives without financial limitations. These scholarships include different topics, such as merit-based awards, minority community scholarships, financial hardship scholarships, and scholarships for individuals with impairments. Financial support is given by the scholarships in the form of reimbursement for mandatory fees, maintenance allowances, and remission of tuition fees. At the moment, 705 regular faculty members are employed in various positions. There are 276 Assistant Professors, 136 Associate Professors, and 566 Ph.D. holders at Jamia Millia Islamia.

Hostels at University

The university has 12 hostel structures available for its students, with 5 apartments for girls and 7 hostels for boys. Students in PH are also provided with housing by the university. Hostels typically have rooms with 3 or 4 seats.
