Located in New Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is a central university. The university was founded in 1920 and has received "A" accreditation from the NAAC in addition to recognition from the UGC. According to NIRF 2024, university is ranked 3rd among the best universities in India and 25th in the management category. The Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution, the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, and the Centre for Management Studies are just some JMI's research centres.
It has over 200 UG, graduate, and research programs. Many academic fields, including engineering, the humanities, law, administration, education, and science, are represented among those offering the courses. It offers many well-liked courses, including BTech, BA, B.Sc., MA, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc., and PhD. Admission to university is determined by the university's admission exam. In addition, university accepts national entrance exams for admission to its B.Tech, B.Arch, BA/B.Sc/B.Voc, and BDS programs, respectively: JEE Main, NATA, CUET, and NEET.
Through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), it also provides distance learning programs leading to degrees and diplomas for military personnel. It offers its students excellent placement options. Around 350 students were placed during the 2023 university placement. For B.Tech and MBA students, the highest package available ranged from INR 20 LPA to INR 25 LPA. Top employers include Accenture, KPMG, ICICI Bank, CDOT, EXL, and so on.

Admissions 2024 at University
Every year, admission to university typically opens in April. For every course, the admissions procedure is conducted entirely online. Applicants must register on the university's official website. The majority of UG, PG, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Ph.D. programs have entrance exams that determine admission. The institution accepts national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, NATA, and NEET, respectively, for admission to its B.Tech, B.Arch, and BDS programs. Results of University
Through its main website, Jamia Millia Islamia announces the results of entrance exams and semester exams. Scholarships for Students
Students at university have access to various scholarships that enable them to achieve their academic objectives without financial limitations. These scholarships include different topics, such as merit-based awards, minority community scholarships, financial hardship scholarships, and scholarships for individuals with impairments.
