Admissions 2024 at University
At university, admission is extremely tough, with over 3 lakh students applying for 5,000 spots. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results are given 100% weightage at university for admission to UG (excluding B.Tech) and PG (excluding MBA and some M.Sc. courses). Based on past years' patterns, around one lakh applications are submitted annually for BA (Hons) programmes, with an average of 114 applicants per available seat. There are about 195 applicants for every PG slot. The weights assigned to CAT scores, GD, and PI are 70%, 10%, and 20%, respectively, when it comes to university MBA admissions. The JoSAA/CSAB counselling process is used to determine admissions to B.Tech programs based on JEE Main scores.
Students can apply for "Deprivation Points," which are awarded in the form of extra marks (up to a maximum of 12 points) for applicants from socioeconomically disadvantaged quartile districts, in addition to reservations for university admissions.
Cutoff 2024 of University
Admission to the MA, M.Sc., M.Tech, MPH, MCA, PG Dilploma, and ADOP programs is open through university Cutoff 2024. University PG cutoff score and position are determined by the results of the CUET PG test. The JNU cutoff marks, or %, are determined by adding up all of the test takers' total results. With cutoff score of 96 in the general category, MA Arabic scored lower than MA Sociology, which had the highest cut score of 97.6667 this year. The lowest qualifying score for admission to the M.Tech Data Science program was 30.
