Goa University

Goa institution is a state-level institution that has been accredited by NAAC with a Grade A for its excellence in education. University provides education at UG, graduate, doctoral, and diploma levels. It includes 56 affiliated colleges that offer both professional and general education. The University's campus houses one centre, 14 departments, and seven schools. Furthermore, the University recognises nine institutes for Ph.D.-level research programs.

Application Procedure at University:

To enable students to apply for any program from any location, the institution maintains an online application procedure. When applying to Goa University, the following procedures must be followed: 

• Applicants must go to University's official website. 
• Students must apply for the preferred course after reviewing the admissions page.
  Complete the required academic and personal information accurately. 
• As soon as the application is submitted online, candidates must print a copy of the completed form, which is produced by the system in PDF format.
• Speed Post shall provide the demand draft, authenticated copies of the necessary papers, and a print copy of the application form that has been properly signed by the candidate. 
• On the back of the demand draft, the candidate should provide their name, reference number, and the name of the program they are applying for.

Scholarship for Students:

For worthy and distinguished students, the university offers a variety of scholarships, freeships, and research scholarships. The information for the same is listed below:

•  Students who achieve at least 65% of the total points in the science streams and more than 60% in the qualifying exam for Arts, Commerce, and Management Studies are eligible for merit scholarships.
• Free Studentship: This is available to students whose parents make little more than INR 3 LPA. A minimum of 50% in the science stream and 45% in arts, commerce, and management studies are required of the candidate. 
• Research Scholarship: Eligible full-time research scholars are those who have earned at least 55% of their Master's degree points and whose Ph.D. registration has been verified.

Facilities at Goa University:

The university provides the following amenities to meet the needs of its students:

• Hostels: On campus at the institution, there are separate hostels for male and female students. Both men's and women's hostels are well-equipped with amenities like a mess, WiFi, sports, a TV room, bus service, etc. Priority is given to university research scholars and students who have enrolled in postgraduate programs. Accommodations for students enrolled in connected colleges will only be given if space is available.
• Library: Over 208519 volumes, 35827 reference books, 243 journals, and 214 e-books make up the library's extensive collection. In addition, students can access e-journals, CDs, DVDs, and digital databases. The library can accommodate 120 pupils in total.
• Computer Centre: With UGC's help, the university computer centre was established to offer professors and students IT services. It has all the most recent software installed for convenience. 24 computer labs with 1 Gbps internet access are located around the university.
