Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, formerly known as Bhavnagar University, is UGC-recognized State University established in 1978 by the State of Gujarat and sprawling over 269 acres of land spread across 3 locations in Bhavnagar city, western Gujarat, India. It is accredited by NAAC in New Delhi. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university offers teaching and research opportunities in the Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Rural Studies, Medicine, and Law faculties. It comprises 20 PG departments and 4 recognised institutes and research centres. The university offers various UG, graduate, doctoral, and PG diploma programs in various areas and specialisations.

Since its founding, the university has had three constituent colleges. The Samaldas Arts College, which is almost 120 years old, the Sir P.P. Institute of Science, and the M. J. College of Commerce all offer UG programs in commerce and business administration.

The presence of computer centre provides students with many opportunities to use modern approaches to make sure they are properly equipped for everything.

• It was formed in the year 1990 and since then has been functioning in the university.
• The computer centre provides services to the administrative department for accounting, salaries, cash counter, results processing, application downloads, and other tasks.
