Sardar Patel University (SPU) is a government institution in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, India. It is founded in 1955, has received a 'A' rating from NAAC. University has 11 faculties and 4 research institutions, and it provides programs in over 28 fields throughout its 113 colleges.

University selects students through filling out an online application form. The admissions process is merit-based. ACPC manages admissions for some professional degrees, including the MBA, MCA, and PG Diploma. Once the institution has released the online application form, candidates must apply. Shortlisted candidates must attend the course counselling session and pay the course fees using net banking.

Ph.D. candidates with valid NET-JRF/NET-L/GSET/GAT, MPhil, etc., are exempted from the Entrance Test. Applicants who pass the Department's Entrance Test are invited to meet with members of the Department Research Advisory Committee (DRAC).
