Lala Lajpat Rai institution of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) is a veterinary institution in Hisar, Haryana. It was founded in 2010 and named after liberation warrior Lala Lajpat Rai. University has been formally recognised by the University Grants Commission in India. The university's mission is to provide high-quality teaching, research, and services in veterinary and animal sciences to help the cattle sector grow.

University now has 3 institutions: the College of Veterinary Sciences, the College of Dairy Science and Technology, and the Institute of Para Veterinary Sciences. Life at University
The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is now on the campus of Haryana Agricultural University, although it will shortly relocate to a new location. University' campus life is regarded as outstanding, with a quiet and ecologically friendly atmosphere. The campus provides various facilities for its students and has a well-balanced gender ratio.

Merit Scholarship: The University only offers merit scholarships to Haryana citizens, which are valued Rs. 1600 per month. Only 25% candidates enrolled to Haryana Resident seats are eligible for this grant. If the scholarship winner is a female student, the monthly award amount would be Rs 2400.
Eligibility: Only B.V.Sc. and A.H. students accepted to Haryana Resident seats are eligible for scholarships, and their merit will be decided by the results of the Entrance Test.
