Eternal University, Sirmaur

Eternal University, Baru Sahib was established under the Himachal Pradesh Private Universities Act on April 29, 2008. It is a self-financed private university that has been recognised by the UGC under the UGC Act of 1956. It is located a vast 8,00,000-sq complex in Baru Sahib. It is NAAC approved and ISO 9001: 2015 Certified University founded under the Himachal Pradesh Private University (Establishment & Regulation) Act 2006 and Himachal Pradesh Government Act. No. 3 of 2009.

It only provides UG, PG, and doctoral courses for girls in agriculture, fundamental science, health and related sciences, engineering and technology, education, economics, commerce and management, arts, and social sciences. Admission to other UG/PG/PHD degrees would be based on merit and admission tests.

Eternal University features a central library with a significant collection of books and materials. In addition to the central library, there are 2 departmental libraries: the library of Akal College of Education and the library of Akal College of Nursing. The Eternal University Library is completely automated using ERP. The library comprises around 40,000 publications, including textbooks, general literature for personality development, general knowledge books, reference books, and competitive test materials. The library is exceptionally large and can accommodate more than 250 people at once, as well as a computer lab and Wi-Fi.

NSS: Eternal University makes extra efforts to help students develop their personalities through community service. Eternal University's NSS (National Service Scheme) is a student-run volunteer organisation guided by academic members. Every year, numerous NSS camps are held where students participate in social welfare activities such as tree planting and awareness programs on drug addiction, AIDS, Swine flu, and water conservation and sanitation campaigns.

NCC: The National Cadet Corps (India) was established under the NCC Act of 1948 and is available to all school and college students on a voluntary basis. The Cadets get basic military training in small weapons and parades. The slogan of the NCC is "Unity and Discipline".
