ICFAI University, Baddi

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Himachal Pradesh (Baddi), also known as The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh (Baddi), was established under the provisions of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (Establishment and Regulation) Act 2011 (Act No. 43 of 2011), which was passed by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on June 17, 2011. The University is funded by The ICFAI Society, a non-profit educational organisation founded in 1984.

University Baddi, Himachal Pradesh is one of its 11 sponsored universities. It is a private university established under the provisions of the University (Establishment & Regulation) Act-2011 (Act No. 43 of 2011) as assented by the Governor on October 17, 2011, and is located in Baddi, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

Campus Infrastructure: The university's campus is located in the Baddi Educational Hub. It has a built-up area of 2 lakh sq. ft. Programs available:

B.Tech Program

The University offers 4-year or 8-semester full-time B.Tech degree in several specialisations, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility:

12th out with 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English, as well as a JEE (Main) 2020 or HPCET 2020 score.

B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) Program

ICFAI University Baddi offers B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) programs for diploma holders in appropriate subjects, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The lateral entrance program lasts 3 years or 6 semesters and requires 3-year diploma in engineering in the particular subject with at least 50% aggregate grades.

BBA Program

The institution offers 3-year or 6-semester BBA study to students who have 12th or equivalent in any field with minimum 50% or above. Class XII students who are awaiting their final year exam results are also eligible to apply.

B.Com Program

The institution offers 3-year or 6-semester B.Com degree for students who have 12th or equivalent in any field and have an aggregate of 40% or above. Class XII students who are awaiting their final year exam results are also eligible to apply.

B.Sc Program

3-year B.Sc. course is available on campus for students who have 12th with PCM and have an aggregate of 50% or above. Class XII students who are awaiting their final year exam results are also eligible to apply.

M.Com Program

University Baddi offers 2-year or 4-semester Master of Commerce degree. An aspirant seeking admission to this degree should have their graduation in commerce with 50% or above aggregate marks. Final-year graduate students awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

M.Sc. Program:

The institution offers M.Sc. program with duration of 2 years or 4 semesters in several specialisations such as Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, with variable qualifying standards depending on the stream selected, as follows:

• M.Sc. Chemistry: Pass B.Sc Med/Non-Med with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• M.Sc. Physics: Pass B.Sc (Non-Med) with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• M.Sc. Mathematics: Pass B.Sc (Non-Med) or B.A. with mathematics with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Final-year graduate students awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

Ph.D. Program

The institution also provides 4-year research Ph.D. program, with the following qualifying criteria:

• 2-year PG degree with at least 60% or above, in addition to 4-year UG degree and UGC-NET / SLET qualification in the relevant subject.
• PG students without 4-year UG degree will be forced to take additional courses to compensate for the marginal shortfall.
