National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi
Act No. 4 of the Jharkhand State Assembly established the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, in 2010. With 48 students registered in the first class and Prof. A.K. Koul serving as its first vice chancellor, the university officially opened for business. It provides 3-year Ph.D. programs, 1-year LLM programs, and 5-year integrated B.A. (Hons.) L.L.B. (Hons.) programs. The university is committed to using its expertly woven teaching-learning technique to compete with Global Academic Standards.

- Winner of 3rd place in the CUTS Institute for Regulation & Competition (CIRC), NLU Delhi's national level essay competition
- The paper "Domestic Transfer Pricing," which was done by SOEL, TNDALU, Chennai, won the "Best Research Paper" prize in the 4th V.S. Sundaram Research Paper competition in 2014.
