The university has received NAAC grade 'B' and is approved by UGC, AIU, NCTE, ACU, AICTE, and MCI. NIRF 2023 has ranked the university 151-200 in the University category. University has several affiliated colleges. These colleges include government colleges, training colleges, professional colleges, unaided colleges, Oriental Title Colleges , and unaided professional colleges. The University also provides UG/PG programs through distance or online mode.

The university offers UG, graduate, and doctoral studies in fields such as arts, science, commerce, and management. Admissions to UG/PG programs at University Teaching Departments/Centers will be conducted through the Online Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). Admission to UG programs is based on merit in the qualifying test. However, for B.Tech programs, the University recognizes KEAM test scores. Admission to PG programs is only dependent on the University's Entrance Test. However, M.Tech admissions are based on GATE results. Admissions at University

The university offers UG, graduate, and doctoral studies in fields such as arts, science, commerce, and management. Admissions to UG and graduate programs at University Teaching Departments/Centers will through the Online Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). However, because B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, and M.Ed are not part of CAP, the institute provides direct admission to these programs. Admission to University UG programs is based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam. However, for B.Tech programs, the University recognizes KEAM test scores.

Admission to PG programs is only dependent on the Entrance Test. However, M.Tech admissions are based on GATE results. Admission to the MBA Program is also determined on KMAT/CAT/CMAT scores, as well as Group Discussion and Interview. Admission to the Integrated M.Com Programme will be based on the entrance exam (60% weightage) and index marks (40% weightage), calculated in accordance with the existing guidelines. University Ph.D. admissions are based on the university's Entrance Test or NET/GATE exam scores from UGC, CSIR, ICAR, and ICMR, followed by an interview with the university.

• In each program, click the Apply Now link.
• Register with accurate information and receive your Application Number.
• Log in with application number and the password you've set. Fill out the form with personal information, qualifications, etc.
• Upload photo and signature.
  
• Pay the registration fees with SBI Epay.
• Submit the application.
• Take a printout of the application form.

• The University offers scholarship known as the Mrs. Sudha Krishnan Endowment Scholarship.
