Kerala Kalamandalam, Thrissur

Kerala Kalamandalam is teaching facility and performance venue for classical arts that was established in 1930 by poet Vallathol Narayana Menon and Munkadaraja in Thrissur, Kerala. It is UGC-accredited university that provides Arts and Culture courses. The college offers BA, MA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. programs in cultural and performing arts. University has departments in Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kuttiyattam, Mridangam, Chenda, Karnatic Music, Malayalam, English, and Sanskrit.

Aspiring students will have to take the university entrance exam, followed by an interview stage for admission. In addition to studies, the college has a library with over 50,000 books on theater, music, dance, Indian history, aesthetics, epics, and puranas.
