Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) is a government university located in Kerala. NIRF ranked University 31st in the Universities category in 2023. The University consists 23 University Departments, 2 International and Inter University Centers, 7 Inter University Centers, 10 Inter School Centers, 77 Government/Aided Affiliated Colleges, 10 Autonomous Colleges (8 of which have the potential for excellence), 200 Unaided Affiliated Colleges, and 199 Recognized Research Centers. University also offers various programs through distance/online mode.

Admission 2024 to UG Program

The university provides UG programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, and Management, among other areas. Admission to UG programs at University is depend on the performance in the qualifying test. However, for the BBA LLB program, MGU CAT scores are considered. In addition, admissions to UG courses offered by Affiliated Colleges are based on the Centralized Allotment Process. Admission to PG programs offered by University Departments/Schools is based on the Common Admission Test (CAT), whilst PG programs in affiliated colleges are conducted through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). University admits MBA students on the basis of MAT/XAT/CAT/GMAT/CMAT scores, followed by GD and PI. Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on UGC NET/CSIR NET/GATE exam results.

• Now Click on the "Examination" option at the top of the home page.
• Now select the "Examination Results" option.
• Select the desired course. You will be directed to new webpage.
• Now, select Examination Semester from the Examination drop down list.
• Now, type PRN and click the "Get Result" button.
• Your results will be displayed.
• Take a printout of the Results.

However, according to University NIRF 2023 Report, the median package for UG (5-year) program graduates was INR 3.6 LPA during University Placement 2023. Library:   University has a digital library created with automation software Harness. The library provides eBooks, podcasts, audio, and video to help students improve their learning capacity. Academic and official documents, transcripts, media, and other materials can be accessed from any location using a website or mobile devices through the library's Digital Content Management system.
Health:    University maintains a system for managing all health records and offers necessary health services to students as needed.
Transportation:     RFID technology and GPS tracking allow students to access and track their transportation.

Hostels and Canteens:    There are separate hostels for boys and girls on university campus. There are 2 hostels for guys and 4 for girls. Candidates can use the canteen. It is accessible to everyone.

Scholarships for Students

• Fee waivers of 20% are offered to students whose annual family income is less than INR 2.5 lakhs.
• Girl students who select the BCA course and have an annual family income of less than INR 2.5 lakhs are eligible for up to a full scholarship.
• Sports scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional achievement. Scholarships range in value from INR 4000 to INR 300.
