The government university known as Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya was established in Jabalpur in 1957. The University, which has received "B+" grade from the NAAC, is another name for it. It provides many UG and graduate courses in the fields of management, science, commerce, medicine, and the arts. Under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) program, these courses are offered in University Teaching Departments (UTD) and linked colleges.

Admission at University

Applicants must meet the prerequisite requirements for each subject for admission to the university. Entrance exams and merit scores are used to determine admission to UG and graduate programs. However, the institution conducts the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for each subject independently to admit students to Ph.D. programs. To be selected for the course, candidates who pass the interview test must attend an interview.

• Download your scorecard (theory and practical marks) after clicking on the link for the desired course.
• After the results are announced, students who are unhappy with their grades have 7 days to request for a revaluation process and pay the required fees.

Scholarships for Students

• Underprivileged students who struggle to pay for their education can apply for merit-based scholarships from the institution. Only 30 students are awarded this scholarship each year.
• After completing an entrance exam, students receive a scholarship certificate that waives their fees if they meet the requirements for the award.
• Students at university are also eligible to apply for the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology's National Scholarship.
• For students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, there is also a scholarship program.

Facilities at University

• Hostel:    There are 2 hostels Kasturba Women's Hostel, which has 80 rooms, and Devendra Boys' Hostel, which has 100 rooms.
• Library:     The Pandit Dwarka Prasad Mishra reading hall, also called the university library, is home to almost two million books, 10,000 research journals, and 5,000 thesis journals. Students are given all of these things to improve and receive a proper education.
• Internet/Wi-Fi:    For the benefit of the students, the computer labs and classrooms have uninterrupted broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Sports facilities:    The researchers can play football, cricket, tennis, and even host annual games for all divisions on the university sports field.
