Central Institute of Fisheries Education Overview
Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Madh
One could refer to the Central Institute of Fisheries Education as India's national leader in fisheries education. The Government of India established it on June 6, 1961, with the intention of providing chances for higher education, research, and training to the nation's in-service fishermen to support in the development of the fishing industry.
The college offers courses at the master's and research levels in various subjects. It also offers many training programs for different client groups, including fishermen, farmers, entrepreneurs, faculty, industry representatives, students, research scholars, and others, from short-term programs lasting 3 - 7 days to long-term programs lasting 6-12 months.
The merit list, which is created based on the score obtained on the college's entrance exam, determines admission to both the master's and research programs.
