Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere

The Maharashtra government established Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU) in 1989. It is located in the Maharashtra state's Raigad district at Lonere. University has received a "B" grade from NAAC for accreditation and recognition from UGC. Additionally, it belongs to the Association of Indian Universities. The university campus spans 468 acres. Currently, DBATU's 4 residential campuses—Paliwal Park, Khandari Campus, Civil Lines Campus, and Chhaleshar Campus—are home to more over 270 associated colleges and 15 residential institutes.

 UG programs offered by university include B.E., B.Arch, B.Voc, B.E. Lateral, and others. It provides MBA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, and MCA programs at PG level. Additionally, it provides certificate and diploma programs. Admission to DBATU B.Tech programs is determined by JEE-Main and MHT-CET scores. Various national-level entrance tests are also accepted by the university for admission to its different programs.

Admission 2024 at University

University JEE Main/MHT CET and NATA scores are used to determine admission to B.Tech and B.Arch programs, respectively. A valid GATE and GPAT score is required for admission to university's M.Tech and M.Pharm programs. Merit from the qualifying exam determines admission to all other courses.

 Placements 2024 to University

University has a Training and Placement Cell to ensure all its students are placed with good organizations. The university has not released the official placement report for 2023-24. Scholarships 2024 for Students

Scholarships for deserving students:    The school reduces tuition fees and provides scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.
Scholarships for students from lower-income backgrounds:    These scholarships are awarded to students from low-income groups (less than INR 2 lakh annually), SC/ST categories, and backward classes.
Scholarships for sports quota-   Sports quota scholarships are also available to applicants who actively represent the school in athletics and cultural events.

Facilities at University

The following are some facilities offered on the university campus:

University library:   The extensive library at University enables staff and students to research the most recent findings in their fields of study. It features 76 subscription journals and an extensive collection of 76291 titles.

Computer Center:    The university's computer center houses roughly 100 PCs. Many PCs at the center have access to high-speed internet at 2 Mbps speed.

Conference  Hall:    There are several AC meeting rooms at the university that can hold over 100 students.

Guest House:    The university has a guest house called "Anandvan." Located in the heart of the university is this guest home. There are 17 regular suites, 3 AC suites, and 2 VIP suites.

Edusat:   The university uses Edusat to hold seminars, lectures, and workshops. More than 100 students can be accommodated there.
