Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Giripeth, Nagpur

Founded in 2002, VNIT Nagpur is an autonomous university. NIRF 2023 has placed VNIT Nagpur at number 82 overall. Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) was the previous name of the institute. As part of a project backed by the Indian and Maharashtra governments, it was established in 1960. University delivers UG, PG and doctoral degrees. Engineering, science, architecture, and the humanities are the fields in which these courses are offered. The campus of university is 225 acres in size.

 University is renowned for its B.Tech program for UG. The JEE Main entrance test and the JoSAA Counseling process are used to admit students to the B.Tech program. For admission to the CSE branch at university, a general category candidate must have obtained a JEE Main rank between 1568 and 4708.

Total 1233 offers were provided at the end of the 2023 VNIT placements, and 1000 students were placed. There were 893 B.Tech students, 15 B.Arch students, 271 M.Tech students, and 24 M.Sc students assigned. Famous firms like Google, D.E. The B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs offered by university have specializations of 9, 21, and 14, respectively. National level exams such as JEE Main and GATE are used to determine admission to the courses.  University conducts personal interview after the written exam for admission to the Ph.D. program.

Campus at University

The campus of VNIT Nagpur is 225 acres in size. The campus of VNIT Nagpur is located in the western part of the city, close to Ambazari Lake. The university campus is approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) from university Train Station and 8 kms (5.0 miles) from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. The Main Gate on South Ambazari Road, the Bajaj Nagar Gate, and the Yashwant Nagar Gate are 3 main entrances to the university. There is a lot of green space on campus, and the pollution from the city doesn't really harm it.
