The University of Science and Technology, also known as USTM in Meghalaya has been renowned for being the first Private University based on Science and Technology in North East India. Approved by UGC and AICTE, established in the year 2008. The university has 11 UG, 12 PG, and 10 Ph.D. specializations. Admissions are done on merit basis for various UG and PG courses. Some courses need university prescribed entrance test merit marks. Admission to MBA is done through USTM-CAT followed by group discussion and personal interview. For selection to Ph.D., candidates are selected based on performance in academics, entrance tests, and interviews.

Admissions at University

Before applying for course, candidates must meet eligibility requirements for admission to both UG and graduate-level programs. While some admissions are based on previous qualifying exam scores, others are determined through entrance exams.

Steps to Apply:

Apply online by completing the forms available on the college's website. The application form fees INR 700, which can be paid using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. The MBA application form fees INR 1,000, and the Ph.D. application Fees INR 2,000.
Merit-based admissions are determined by qualifying exam results. If you are applying for B. Pharm, BPT, B.Ed., BA LLB, or BA, you must take the admission exam. Get the merit rank results after the test.

Library:   The campus's Maulana Azad Central Library have many  book collections covering many topics. The institution has a digital library in addition to its main library.

Health Care:    The University Health Center provides workers and students with emergency services as well as medical assistance in the event of OPD services. For any medical needs, the college also has an on-site pharmacy.

Sports:   There are facilities for indoor sports, cricket, basketball, football, futsal, volleyball, kho-kho, table tennis, and more on campus.

Auditorium:   There is a central auditorium, a small auditorium, and 3 smaller auditoriums that double as conference rooms on campus. All spaces include AC, sound, and projection systems.

Hostels:   The campus has 2 dorms for guys and 2 dorms for girls, each with amenities including AC, wifi, electricity, water, security, and a mess room. There are lawns for walking and playing on the hostels. The hostels are available on first-come, first-served basis.
