One of the most prominent universities in Orissa state is Sambalpur University, which is situated in the city of Sambalpur. It provides many PG, doctoral, and research-level courses. Under Distance Education On-Campus courses, the university also provides MBA, PG Diploma, and Certificate programs. Both the certificate program and the MBA program are available for 3 years. There are 9 distinct specialized subjects available for 1-year PG Diploma program. There is no entrance exam required for these courses, and admission is determined only by merit.

Admissions at University:

For admission to PG studies, applicants must meet the requirements set 4th by the university. University-based entrance exam and a round of personal interviews are required for Ph.D. admission. Those who pass the admission exam will be invited to the Viva-Voce. Candidates must have strong academic credentials. Both rounds' qualified applicants are considered for admission. Students can find work through the university's specialized placement and training division. Faculty members with extensive knowledge and expertise oversee it. Campus:        There are 10 hostels on campus, along with 2 nationalized banks, a post office, a health center, an auditorium, a police outpost, a faculty house, and a community center. On campus, there are 20 PG departments.
Library:   More than 1,36,955 books, 14,323 bound volumes, 8,890+ e-journals, 4 newspapers, and 2,600 theses are all part of the library's extensive collection.
Health Center:   It offers medical care to those who live close to the university campus, including personnel, instructors, and students. In the summer, it has one Acute Care unit for patients who are afflicted by the heat.

Hostels: It providing a TV in the common area, a reading room with periodicals and newspapers, a guest room, first aid supplies, an STD phone booth, etc.
