Rajasthan Technical University is located in Kota, in the state of Rajasthan. The Government of Rajasthan founded it in 2006, and it now includes approximately 68 Engineering Colleges, 03 B.Arch, 16 MCA Colleges, 39 MBA Colleges, 31 M.Tech College.

It is accredited by UGC and approved by AICTE, and it offers practically all technical education courses, including B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and BHMCT. The university also takes entrance tests for admission to certain of its technical programs.

Except for BHMCT, admission to all UG and PG courses is by entrance exam. Admission to B.Tech courses is based on REAP results, with preference given to JEE Mains applicants. Similarly, NATA results (followed by REAP counselling) are accepted for B.Arch admission. RTU CAM is eligibility criteria for M.Tech and M.Arch programs. RMAT/CMAT results are allowed in MBA courses. MCA and Ph.D. programs are offered based on RMCAAT and RTU DAT (followed by PI) scores.

Rajasthan Technical University's placement process is divided into 3 parts. The T&P Cell at RTU trains students in aptitude and reasoning, group discussions, presentations, technical and HR interviews. Members of the cell invite specialists to provide training to students. Selection Process: Interested students must take the Aptitude Test (written test), which is followed by a Group Discussion round and interview. Students who qualify for the Technical Interview and HR Interview stage based on their potential will receive offer letter.
