Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) was established in 2008 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The university was established by the Government of Rajasthan Jaipur under Act No. 16 of 2008, which was passed by the Rajasthan State Assembly and conferred the title of 'State University'. The university has been recognized by the UGC and approved by AICTE and PCI. The institute has an A+ grade from NAAC.

The university provides dual degrees, integrated courses, UG degrees, PG degrees, and doctoral programs in various specializations. Every year, University (SGVU) conducts admissions for various courses.

The university's faculty is vast and diverse, with 235 highly trained and talented individuals. 111 members have Ph.Ds in their respective fields. The entire faculty is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable about their subject. All faculty members are highly cooperative with students and encourage them to ask questions and clarify their concepts as much as can, making themselves available to students even outside of lectures and courses.
